To speak at an event, I charge an honorarium of $1500 due at the time of the presentation, as well as reimbursement for the following travel expenses:
- Round trip airfare from Macarthur Islip Airport (ISP) or New York John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) to the presentation destination.
- Travel expenses between my home to the departure airport (typically $25-100 each way) and from the destination airport to the hotel in the destination city.
- Travel expenses or arrangements from the hotel to the event and back.
- Hotel Expenses for a minimum of 2 nights, including the night before the presentation and the night of the presentation.
Honorarium may be negotiated for events where more than one talk is given.
Workshop and training sessions are highly customized to the needs of the particular organization, and may vary greatly in length and content. Rates are based on the amount of design and preparation time needed to develop the program, and may range widely. Typical fees range between $500 – $1500 for a 2-hour staff training, or $1000 – $3000 for a day-long hands on workshop. No honorarium, fees, or travel expenses will be charged for events hosted by or services provided to libraries in Suffolk County, NY, as related to my job responsibilities.
